Journal ArticleDOI

Effects of hyperbaric spinal ropivacaine for Cesarean section: with or without fentanyl: 73.

TL;DR: The addition of fentanyl 10 microg, to hyperbaric ropivacaine 15 mg, for spinal anaesthesia increased the duration of analgesia in the early postoperative period in patients undergoing caesarean delivery.
Journal ArticleDOI

Calix[n]arene Carboxylic Acid Derivatives as Regulators of Enzymatic Reactions: Enhanced Enantioselectivity in Lipase-Catalyzed Hydrolysis of (R/S)-Naproxen Methyl Ester

TL;DR: It has been observed that the Calix[4]COOH-based encapsulated lipase has excellent enantioselectivity (enantiomeric ratio (E) > 400) as compared to encapsulated-free lipase enantiOSElectivity, and it also has an enantiomersic excess value of ~98 % for S-naproxen.
Journal ArticleDOI

Control of steroid-induced glaucoma with surgical excision of sub-Tenon triamcinolone acetonide deposits: a clinical and biochemical approach.

TL;DR: Surgical excision of the sub-Tenon steroid deposit should be considered as the primary treatment for steroid-induced glaucoma refractory to medical treatment.
Journal ArticleDOI

Thermodynamic investigation of organic Rankine cycle energy recovery system and recent studies

TL;DR: In this article, an organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) was examined as an alternative energy source for low-grade heat sources usage generating electricity with the help of power turbine cycles.
Journal ArticleDOI

Development of a pH sensing membrane electrode based on a new calix[4]arene derivative.

TL;DR: A new pH sensing poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC) membrane electrode was developed by using recently synthesized 5,17-bis(4-benzylpiperidine-1-yl)methyl-25,26,27,28-tetrahydroxy calix[4]arene as an ionophore and exhibited excellent potentiometric response after being used in fluoride-containing media.
