Corrosion inhibition of mild steel by new Benzothiazine derivative in a hydrochloric acid solution: Experimental evaluation and theoretical calculations

TL;DR: In this paper, a new benzothiazine derivative (4-octadecyl-2H-benzo[b] [1,4] thiazin-3(4H)-one) (P3) was synthesized and its inhibitory effect on mild steel in 1 1/M HCl was evaluated through integrated experimental and computational perspective.
Journal ArticleDOI

New Pyrazole-Hydrazone Derivatives: X-ray Analysis, Molecular Structure Investigation via Density Functional Theory (DFT) and Their High In-Situ Catecholase Activity.

TL;DR: The synthesis of new biomolecules systems based on hydrazone derivatives containing a pyrazole moiety (L1–L6) with superior catecholase activity is reported, with the highest catalytic activity among the catalysts recently reported in the existing literature.
Journal ArticleDOI

Co(II) and Zn(II) pyrazolyl-benzimidazole complexes with remarkable antibacterial activity

TL;DR: In this paper, three mononuclear coordination complexes of 1-butyl-2-((5-methyl-1H-pyrazol-3-yl)methyl)-1Hbenzimidazole (L), namely [CoL]Cl2 (C1), [Co2L2]Cl 2·H2O (C2) and [Zn2L 2]Cl1 (C3), were synthesized and characterized spectroscopically.
Journal ArticleDOI

Novel Co(II) and Cu(II) coordination complexes constructed from pyrazole-acetamide: Effect of hydrogen bonding on the self assembly process and antioxidant activity.

TL;DR: The antioxidant activity of the ligands and their complexes were determined in vitro by 1,1‑diphenyl‑2‑picrylhydrazyl (DPPH), 2,2'‑azino‑bis(3‑ethylbenzothiazoline‑6‑sulphonic acid (ABTS) and ferric reducing antioxidant power(FRAP), showing that the ligand L1 and L2 and complexes 1 and 2 present significant antioxidant activity.
