TL;DR: Seven SNPs were significantly associated with PD, which were located in or adjacent to genes including PKP1, PLEKHG1, TMEM16B, CALCOCO1, SDK2 and CLU (or APO-J).
Journal ArticleDOI
Salivary dehydroepiandrosterone secretion in response to acute psychosocial stress and its correlations with biological and psychological changes.

TL;DR: Results indicated that an acute increase in DHEA concentration under stressful situations might be partly mediated by the activity of hypothalamus-pituitary-adrenal axis and could have some significance in the improvement of negative mood.
Journal ArticleDOI
Bio-psychosocial factors of children and adolescents with internet gaming disorder: a systematic review.
TL;DR: This review, which presents updated findings of IGD in minors, is expected to contribute to the development of future research and be useful in clinical practice in the field of child and adolescent psychiatry.
Journal ArticleDOI
Salivary cortisol and DHEA reactivity to psychosocial stress in socially anxious males.
Kentaro Shirotsuki,Kentaro Shirotsuki,Shuhei Izawa,Nagisa Sugaya,Kosuke Chris Yamada,Namiko Ogawa,Yuko Ouchi,Yuichiro Nagano,Shinobu Nomura +8 more
TL;DR: The results suggest that there may be reduced HPA axis reactivity to psychosocial stress in socially anxious people.
Journal ArticleDOI
An increase in salivary interleukin-6 level following acute psychosocial stress and its biological correlates in healthy young adults.
Shuhei Izawa,Nagisa Sugaya,Kenta Kimura,Namiko Ogawa,Kosuke C. Yamada,Kentaro Shirotsuki,Ikuyo Mikami,Kanako Hirata,Yuichiro Nagano,Shinobu Nomura +9 more
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that salivary IL-6 levels are elevated for a relatively long period following acute psychosocial stress, and it is suggested that sympathetic activity and cortisol secretion are involved in elevation of salivaries levels.
