Journal ArticleDOI
Cryo-Transmission Electron Microscopy of Sea Spray Aerosols
Joseph P. Patterson,Douglas B. Collins,Jennifer M. Michaud,Jessica L. Axson,Michael D. Burkart,Kimberly A. Prather,Nathan C. Gianneschi +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, the first gas phase cryo-TEM sampling experiments (aerosol-cryo TEM) allow the detection of hydrated SSA particles by electron microscopy, which reveals the exquisite structural complexity of biogenic marine nanostructures in the ocean and marine atmophere.
Journal ArticleDOI
Self-Assembly of Tunable Intrinsically Disordered Peptide Amphiphiles
Tamara Ehm,Hila Shinar,Guy Jacoby,Sagi Meir,G. Koren,Merav Segal Asher,Joanna Korpanty,Matthew P. Thompson,Nathan C. Gianneschi,Michael M. Kozlov,Salome Emma Azoulay-Ginsburg,Roey J. Amir,Joachim O. Rädler,Roy Beck +13 more
TL;DR: In this article , the authors measured the nanoscopic self-assembled structures of four IDPA systems that differ by their amino acid sequence and showed that permutations in the charge pattern along the sequence remarkably alter the headgroup conformation and consequently alters the pH-triggered phase transitions between spherical, cylindrical micelles and hexagonal condensed phases.
Journal ArticleDOI
Gas Absorption and Pore Breathing of Metal-Organic Frameworks Studied Using in situ Environmental Transmission Electron Microscopy (ETEM)
Lucas R. Parent,C. Huy Pham,Joseph P. Patterson,Michael S. Denny,Seth M. Cohen,Francesco Paesani,Nathan C. Gianneschi +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors proposed a method for using multiscale Electron Microscopy (MEMC) to study the properties and properties of high-dimensional materials.

Modified cytotoxins and their therapeutic use
Cassandra E. Callmann,Matthew P. Thompson,Nathan C. Gianneschi,Clare L. M. LeGuyader,Paul A. Bertin +4 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors provided compounds useful for treating cancer using small-molecule cytotoxins that are chemically modified to include one or more moieties that include hydrophobic portions.
