Ughi,Heleen M.M. van Beusekom,Antonius F.W. van der Steen,Gerrit-Ann van Es,Gijs van Soest,Renu Virmani,Sergio Waxman,Neil J. Weissman,Giora Weisz +72 more
TL;DR: This document may be broadly used as a standard reference regarding the current state of theIVOCT imaging modality, intended for researchers and clinicians who use IVOCT and analyze IVO CT data.
Journal ArticleDOI
A bioabsorbable everolimus-eluting coronary stent system (ABSORB): 2-year outcomes and results from multiple imaging methods
Patrick W. Serruys,John A. Ormiston,Yoshinobu Onuma,Evelyn Regar,Nieves Gonzalo,Hector M. Garcia-Garcia,Koen Nieman,Nico Bruining,Cecile Dorange,Karine Miquel-Hebert,Susan Veldhof,Mark Webster,Leif Thuesen,Dariusz Dudek +13 more
TL;DR: At 2 years after implantation the stent was bioabsorbed, had vasomotion restored and restenosis prevented, and was clinically safe, suggesting freedom from late thrombosis.
Journal ArticleDOI
Expert review document part 2: methodology, terminology and clinical applications of optical coherence tomography for the assessment of interventional procedures
Francesco Prati,Giulio Guagliumi,Gary S. Mintz,Marco A. Costa,Evelyn Regar,Takashi Akasaka,Peter Barlis,Guillermo J. Tearney,Ik-Kyung Jang,Elosia Arbustini,Hiram G. Bezerra,Yukio Ozaki,Nico Bruining,D Dudek,Maria D. Radu,Andrejs Erglis,Pascale Motreff,Fernando Alfonso,Kostas Toutouzas,Nieves Gonzalo,Corrado Tamburino,Tom Adriaenssens,Fausto J. Pinto,Patrick W. Serruys,Carlo Di Mario +24 more
TL;DR: This companion manuscript is to provide a practical guide framework for the appropriate use and reporting of the novel frequency domain (FD) OCT imaging to guide interventional procedures, with a particular interest on the comparison with intravascular ultrasound (IVUS).
Journal ArticleDOI
Influence of intracoronary attenuation on coronary plaque measurements using multislice computed tomography: observations in an ex vivo model of coronary computed tomography angiography.
Filippo Cademartiri,Nico R. Mollet,Giuseppe Runza,Nico Bruining,Ronald Hamers,Pamela Somers,Michiel W.M. Knaapen,Stefan Verheye,Massimo Midiri,Gabriel P. Krestin,Pim J. de Feyter +10 more
TL;DR: In three ex vivo specimens of left coronary arteries in oil, MSCT was performed after intracoronary injection of four solutions of contrast material, which modifies significantly the attenuation of plaques assessed with MSCT.
Journal ArticleDOI
Randomized Double-Blind Comparison of Sirolimus-Eluting Stent Versus Bare-Metal Stent Implantation in Diseased Saphenous Vein Grafts: Six-Month Angiographic, Intravascular Ultrasound, and Clinical Follow-Up of the RRISC Trial
Paul Vermeersch,Pierfrancesco Agostoni,Stefan Verheye,Paul Van den Heuvel,Carl Convens,Nico Bruining,Frank Van den Branden,Glenn Van Langenhove +7 more
TL;DR: Sirolimus-eluting stents significantly reduce late loss in SVG as opposed to BMS, associated with a reduction in restenosis rate and repeated target lesion and vessel revascularization procedures.
