Environmental Control of Charge Density Wave Order in Monolayer 2H-TaS2.

TL;DR: Calculations of the phonon dispersions based on a combination of density- functional theory, density-functional perturbation theory, and many-body perturbations theory enable us to provide phase diagrams for the TaS2 charge density wave as functions of doping, hybridization and interlayer potentials, and offer insight into how they affect lattice dynamics and stability.
Journal ArticleDOI

Quasi-two-dimensional thermoelectricity in SnSe

TL;DR: In this article, angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy, optical reflection spectrograms, and magnetotransport measurements reveal a multiple-valley valence band structure and a quasi-two-dimensional dispersion, realizing a Hicks-Dresselhaus thermoelectric contributing to the high Seebeck coefficient at high carrier density.
Journal ArticleDOI

Direct observation of a surface resonance state and surface band inversion control in black phosphorus

TL;DR: In this article, a Cs-doping-induced band inversion and the direct observation of a surface resonance state with an elliptical Fermi surface in black phosphorus (BP) using angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy were reported.
Journal ArticleDOI

Charge density wave phase of VSe 2 revisited

TL;DR: In this paper, a narrow partial gap at the Fermi level is associated with the charge density wave phase, which is consistent with the Peierls model of surface nesting, under the assumption of weak electron-phonon coupling.
