Journal ArticleDOI

Dissociative recombination of rotationally cold H 3

TL;DR: In this article, a dc discharge pinhole supersonic jet source was developed and characterized using infrared cavity ringdown spectroscopy before installation on the CRYRING ion storage ring for the dissociative recombination (DR) measurement of electrons with rotationally and vibrationally cold ions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Storage-ring measurement of the hyperfine-induced 2s2p 3 P0→2s2 1 S0 transition rate in berylliumlike sulfur

TL;DR: In this paper, the hyperfine induced 2s 2p 3P0 → 2s2 1S0 transition rate in Be-like sulfur was measured by monitoring the decay of isotopically pure beams of 32-S12+ and 33-S 12+ ions in a heavy-ion storage ring.
Journal ArticleDOI

First Observation of Four-Body Breakup in Electron Recombination: C2D5(+)

TL;DR: It is reported the first observation of four-body breakup in electron dissociative recombination of a molecular ion: C2D+5.
Journal ArticleDOI

Storage Ring Cross Section Measurements for Electron Impact Ionization of Fe^11+ Forming Fe^12+ and Fe^13+

TL;DR: In this article, the authors report ionization cross section measurements for electron impact single ionization (EISI) of Fe^11+$ forming Fe^12+ and electron impact double ionisation (EIDI), and show that double ionization is dominated by the indirect process in which direct single ionisation of an inner shell 2l electron is followed by autoionization resulting in a net double ionification.
Journal ArticleDOI

Rate constants and branching ratios for the dissociative recombination of C3D7+ and C4D9+

TL;DR: In this article, the product branching ratios and thermal rate coefficients for the dissociative recombination of C3D7+ and C4D9+ have been measured in the ion storage ring CRYRING.
