Journal ArticleDOI
Pseudoaneurysm after transpedal arterial access for evaluation and treatment of peripheral arterial disease
Apurva Patel,Roosha Parikh,Yili Huang,Michael Liou,Justin A. Ratcliffe,Olivier F. Bertrand,Joseph Puma,Tak W. Kwan +7 more
TL;DR: PSA associated with TPA is extremely rare and seems to occur exclusively after posterior tibial artery access, and is easily treatable by thrombin injection.
Journal ArticleDOI
Same-Day Discharge After Transradial Percutaneous Coronary Intervention and Carotid Stenting in a Single Session
TL;DR: This case illustrates that radial access allows treatment of complex coronary and peripheral lesions in a same setting and could provide clinical and cost benefits if safety is confirmed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Carotid versus coronary atherosclerosis burdens in acute compared with chronic symptomatic coronary artery disease1
Stéphanie LeBlanc,Karine Bibeau,Olivier F. Bertrand,Valérie Lévesque,Béatrice Deschênes St-Pierre,Philippe Pibarot,Jean-Pierre Després,Eric Larose +7 more
TL;DR: Investigation in men with new-onset unstable coronary artery disease presenting with acute ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction vs. long-standing severe chronic stable angina found atherosclerosis burden in carotid and in coronary arteries varied according to clinical presentation.
Journal ArticleDOI
The amidolytic activity of the SK-plasminogen complex is enhanced by a potentiator which is generated in the presence of vascular plasminogen activator--role of fibrin degradation products.
TL;DR: It is suggested that fibrin degradation products, generated during clotting in the presence of vascular or tissular plasminogen activator act as a potentiator of the amidolytic activity of the plAsminogen SK-complex.
Journal ArticleDOI
Transradial extra deep coronary intubation with a guide catheter for direct thromboaspiration in acute myocardial infarction.
Rodrigo Bagur,Onil Gleeton,Stéphane Rinfret,Robert De Larochellière,Olivier F. Bertrand,Josep Rodés-Cabau +5 more
TL;DR: A case where the aspiration device failed due to the presence of a large thrombus burden is presented; therefore, direct thromboaspiration was performed following an extra deep intubation of a 6-Fr guidecatheter via the transradial approach.
