Journal ArticleDOI

Chiral Brønsted Acid-Catalyzed Enantioselective Three-Component Povarov Reaction

TL;DR: The three-component Povarov reaction of aldehydes, anilines, and benzyl N-vinylcarbamate 4 in the presence of 0.1 equiv of chiral phosphoric acid afforded cis-2,4-disubstituted tetrahydroquinolines in good yields and excellent enantiomeric excesses.
Journal ArticleDOI

Beta-lactamase database (BLDB) – structure and function

TL;DR: The characterisation of representative mutants and hydrolytic profiles (kinetics) completes the picture and altogether these four elements constitute the essential foundation for a better understanding of the structure-function relationship within this enzymes family.
Journal ArticleDOI

High-Performance Solution-Processed Solar Cells and Ambipolar Behavior in Organic Field-Effect Transistors with Thienyl-BODIPY Scaffoldings

TL;DR: Green-absorbing dipyrromethene dyes engineered from bis-vinyl-thienyl modules are planar molecules, exhibiting strong absorption in the 713-724 nm range and displaying comparable electron and hole mobilities in thin films.
Journal ArticleDOI

An Organocatalytic [3+2] Cyclisation Strategy for the Highly Enantioselective Synthesis of Spirooxindoles

TL;DR: 3-spirocyclopentane-2-oxindole scaffolds are embodied in natural alkaloid derivatives such as marcfortines, citrinadins cyclopiamines, notoamide and versicolamides and they also find applications in the area of medicinal chemistry.
