Genome sequence of mungbean and insights into evolution within Vigna species
Yang Jae Kang,Sue K. Kim,Moon Young Kim,Puji Lestari,Kil Hyun Kim,Bo-Keun Ha,Tae-Hwan Jun,Won Joo Hwang,Taeyoung Lee,Jayern Lee,Sangrea Shim,Minyoung Yoon,Young Eun Jang,Kwang Soo Han,Puntaree Taeprayoon,Na Rae Yoon,Prakit Somta,Patcharin Tanya,Kwang Soo Kim,Jae-Gyun Gwag,Jung-Kyung Moon,Yeong-Ho Lee,Beom-Seok Park,Aureliano Bombarely,Jeff J. Doyle,Scott A. Jackson,Roland Schafleitner,Peerasak Srinives,Rajeev K. Varshney,Suk-Ha Lee +29 more
TL;DR: A draft genome sequence of mungbean is constructed to facilitate genome research into the subgenus Ceratotropis, which includes several important dietary legumes in Asia, and to enable a better understanding of the evolution of leguminous species.
Journal ArticleDOI
Genetic Diversity Among Jatropha and Jatropha-Related Species Based on ISSR Markers
TL;DR: Assessment of molecular variance revealed that 63% of the variability was attributable to variation among groups, while 37% was due to variation within groups, which indicated that jatropha spp.
Journal ArticleDOI
Genome sequence of Jatropha curcas L., a non-edible biodiesel plant, provides a resource to improve seed-related traits
Jungmin Ha,Sangrea Shim,Taeyoung Lee,Yang Jae Kang,Won Joo Hwang,Haneul Jeong,Kularb Laosatit,Jayern Lee,Sue K. Kim,Dani Satyawan,Puji Lestari,Min Y. Yoon,Moon Young Kim,Annapurna Chitikineni,Patcharin Tanya,Prakit Somta,Peerasak Srinives,Rajeev K. Varshney,Suk-Ha Lee +18 more
TL;DR: The results will help researchers and breeders increase energy efficiency of this important oil seed crop by improving yield and oil content, and eliminating toxic compound in seed cake for animal feed.
Journal Article
Heterosis of Agronomic Characters in Jatropha (Jatropha curcas L.)
TL;DR: Three toxic accessions from each of Myanmar and Thailand were crossed with non-toxic accession (low phorbol ester) from Mexico to exploit hybrid vigor of the F1 progeny for possible production of hybrid varieties.
Journal Article
Identification of SSR Markers Associated with N2-Fixation Components in Soybean [Glycine max (L.) Merr.]
TL;DR: The identification of quantitative trait loci for nodulation and nitrogen fixation characters in a soybean population and the existence of a major QTL on LG O conditioning greater than 10% of the phenotypic variation provides an opportunity to select progeny lines in a segregating population demonstrated that effective marker-assisted selection may be feasible for improving nodulationand nitrogen fixation in soybean.
