Book ChapterDOI

Quantification of cytoskeletal protein localization from high-content images

TL;DR: By quantifying the abundance of proteins in different compartments, this work generates colocalization profiles that give insights into the functions of different cytoskeletal proteins.
Book ChapterDOI

Initial and Repetitive Yields from Proteins Blotted on PVDF Membranes

TL;DR: The data suggests that both the repetitive and initial yields are independent of sample quantity and that sample loss during the sequencing cycles significantly affects the repetitive yields.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Numerical modelling as a design optimisation tool for DNA electrophoresis

TL;DR: Preliminary design optimisation investigates the adjustment of the pullback voltage for minimum DNA "leakage" and demonstrates the capabilities of the numerical algorithm as a design and optimisation tool for DNA electrophoresis.
Journal ArticleDOI

Response to “Electron Microscopy of Biological Specimens in Liquid Water”

TL;DR: It is unlikely that enzymatic activity in liquids can be imaged by transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and one can speculate that the samples have become partially dried in a way that the buffer and salts did not precipitate, and why the low-resolution features are more resistant to beam damage.
