Journal ArticleDOI
Ratification vote on taxonomic proposals to the International Committee on Taxonomy of Viruses (2015).
Michael J. Adams,Elliot J. Lefkowitz,Andrew M. Q. King,Dennis H. Bamford,Mya Breitbart,Andrew J. Davison,Said A. Ghabrial,Alexander E. Gorbalenya,Nick J. Knowles,Peter J. Krell,Rob Lavigne,David Prangishvili,Hélène Sanfaçon,Stuart G. Siddell,Peter Simmonds,Eric B. Carstens +15 more
TL;DR: Changes to virus taxonomy approved and ratified by the International Committee on Taxonomy of Viruses in February 2015 are listed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Synthesis of the infectious pancreatic necrosis virus polyprotein, detection of a virus-encoded protease, and fine structure mapping of genome segment A coding regions.
TL;DR: Virus-specific polypeptides were gel purified and mapped by partial proteolysis with N-chlorosuccinimide and sodium dodecyl sulfate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis and appears to be a virus-encoded protease responsible for the cleavage of pVP2 from the polyprotein.
Journal ArticleDOI
Sequence and organization of the Neodiprion lecontei nucleopolyhedrovirus genome
Hilary A. M. Lauzon,Christopher J. Lucarotti,Peter J. Krell,Qili Feng,Arthur Retnakaran,Basil M. Arif +5 more
TL;DR: Gene parity plots showed limited colinearity of NeleNPV with other baculoviruses, and phylogenetic analysis indicates that Nele NPV may have existed before the lepidopteran nucleopolyhedrovirus and granulovirus divergence.
Journal ArticleDOI
Nonstructural protein 1α subunit-based inhibition of NF-κB activation and suppression of interferon-β production by porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus
TL;DR: The results suggest that PRRSV Nsp1α is a multifunctional nuclear protein participating in the modulation of the host IFN system.
Book ChapterDOI
Baculovirus DNA Replication
TL;DR: Baculovirus replication initiates a cascade of gene expression that ultimately results in the production of progeny virus, which is regulated by a combination of viral DNA replication, cis-acting elements as well as early and late viral factors.
