Chan,Louis M. Staudt +37 more
TL;DR: Gene-expression profiling is an accurate, quantitative method for distinguishing Burkitt's lymphoma from diffuse large-B-cell lymphoma and the overall survival was superior among those who had received intensive chemotherapy regimens instead of lower-dose regimens.
Journal ArticleDOI
Burkitt lymphoma pathogenesis and therapeutic targets from structural and functional genomics
Roland Schmitz,Ryan M. Young,Michele Ceribelli,Sameer Jhavar,Wenming Xiao,Meili Zhang,George E. Wright,Arthur L. Shaffer,Daniel J. Hodson,Eric Buras,Xuelu Liu,John Powell,Yandan Yang,Weihong Xu,Hong Zhao,Holger Kohlhammer,Andreas Rosenwald,Philip M. Kluin,Hans Konrad Müller-Hermelink,German Ott,Randy D. Gascoyne,Joseph M. Weisenburger,Wing C. Chan,Stefania Pittaluga,Wyndham H. Wilson,Thomas A. Waldmann,Martin Rowe,Sam M. Mbulaiteye,Alan B. Rickinson,Louis M. Staudt +41 more
TL;DR: High-throughput RNA sequencing and RNA interference screening is used to discover essential regulatory pathways in Burkitt's lymphoma that cooperate with MYC, the defining oncogene of this cancer.
Journal ArticleDOI
Double-hit B-cell lymphomas
Sietse M. Aukema,Reiner Siebert,Ed Schuuring,Gustaaf W. van Imhoff,Hanneke C. Kluin-Nelemans,Evert-Jan Boerma,Philip M. Kluin +6 more
TL;DR: The existing literature for the most recurrent types of DH B-cell lymphomas and the involved genes with their functions, as well as their pathology and clinical aspects including therapy and prognosis are explored.
Journal ArticleDOI
Reclassification of 300 Primary Cutaneous B-Cell Lymphomas According to the New WHO–EORTC Classification for Cutaneous Lymphomas: Comparison With Previous Classifications and Identification of Prognostic Markers
Nancy J. Senff,Juliette J. Hoefnagel,Patty M. Jansen,Maarten H. Vermeer,Joop van Baarlen,Willeke A. M. Blokx,Marijke R. Canninga-van Dijk,M.L. Geerts,Konnie M. Hebeda,Philip M. Kluin,King H. Lam,Chris J.L.M. Meijer,Rein Willemze +12 more
TL;DR: The results emphasize the clinical significance of the WHO-EORTC classification, but suggest that within the group of PCFCL, distinction should be made between lymphomas presenting on the legs and lymphomasPresenting at other sites.
Journal ArticleDOI
Gene-expression and immunohistochemical study of specific T-cell subsets and accessory cell types in the transformation and prognosis of follicular lymphoma.
Annuska M. Glas,Laurent Knoops,Leonie J. M. J. Delahaye,Marie José Kersten,Robby E. Kibbelaar,L. F. A. Wessels,Ryan van Laar,J. Han van Krieken,Joke W. Baars,John M. M. Raemaekers,Philip M. Kluin,Laura J. van't Veer,Daphne de Jong +12 more
TL;DR: The identification of FL as an immunologically functional disease in which an interaction of the tumor cells and the functional composition of the microenvironment determines the clinical behavior is supported.
