Journal ArticleDOI
Humoral and circulating follicular helper T cell responses in recovered patients with COVID-19.
Jennifer A Juno,Hyon-Xhi Tan,Wen Shi Lee,Arnold Reynaldi,Hannah G. Kelly,Hannah G. Kelly,Kathleen M. Wragg,Robyn Esterbauer,Robyn Esterbauer,Helen E Kent,Helen E Kent,C. Jane Batten,Francesca L Mordant,Nicholas A Gherardin,Nicholas A Gherardin,Phillip Pymm,Phillip Pymm,Melanie H. Dietrich,Melanie H. Dietrich,Nichollas E. Scott,Wai-Hong Tham,Dale I. Godfrey,Dale I. Godfrey,Kanta Subbarao,Miles P. Davenport,Stephen J. Kent,Stephen J. Kent,Stephen J. Kent,Adam K. Wheatley,Adam K. Wheatley +29 more
TL;DR: It is found that S-specific antibodies, memory B cells and cTFH are consistently elicited after SARS-CoV-2 infection, demarking robust humoral immunity and positively associated with plasma neutralizing activity, suggesting that vaccines might require strategies to selectively target the most potent neutralizing epitopes.
Journal ArticleDOI
Nanobody cocktails potently neutralize SARS-CoV-2 D614G N501Y variant and protect mice.
Phillip Pymm,Phillip Pymm,Amy Adair,Li-Jin Chan,Li-Jin Chan,James P Cooney,James P Cooney,Francesca L Mordant,Cody C. Allison,Cody C. Allison,Ester Lopez,Ebene R. Haycroft,Matthew T. TL;DR: In this article, high affinity nanobodies from alpacas immunized with coronavirus spike and receptor-binding domains (RBD) were identified that disrupted RBD engagement with the human receptor angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 (ACE2) and potently neutralized SARS-CoV-2.
Journal ArticleDOI
Simultaneous evaluation of antibodies that inhibit SARS-CoV-2 variants via multiplex assay.
Ester Lopez,Ebene R. Haycroft,Amy Adair,Francesca L Mordant,Matthew T. O'Neill,Phillip Pymm,Phillip Pymm,Samuel J. Redmond,Wen Shi Lee,Wen Shi Lee,Nicholas A Gherardin,Adam K. Wheatley,Jennifer A Juno,Kevin J. Selva,Samantha K Davis,Samantha L. Grimley,Leigh Harty,Damian F. J. Purcell,Kanta Subbarao,Dale I. Godfrey,Stephen J. Kent,Wai-Hong Tham,Wai-Hong Tham,Amy W. Chung +23 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors developed a rapid, high-throughput, multiplex assay able to assess the inhibitory response of antibodies to 24 RBD natural variants simultaneously, which can be implemented as a rapid surrogate assay for functional cell-based serological methods to measure the SARS-CoV-2 neutralizing capacity.
Journal ArticleDOI
Landscape of human antibody recognition of the SARS-CoV-2 receptor binding domain.
Adam K. Wheatley,Adam K. Wheatley,Phillip Pymm,Phillip Pymm,Robyn Esterbauer,Melanie H. Dietrich,Melanie H. Dietrich,Wen Shi Lee,Damien R. Drew,Damien R. Drew,Hannah G. Chung,Marc Pellegrini,Marc Pellegrini,Mark T. Liddament,Alisa Glukhova,Kanta Subbarao,Stephen J. Kent,Stephen J. Kent,Stephen J. Kent,Wai-Hong Tham,Wai-Hong Tham +44 more
TL;DR: In this article, a diverse panel of 91 human, neutralizing monoclonal antibodies provides an in-depth structural and phenotypic definition of receptor binding domain antigenic sites on the viral spike.
Posted ContentDOI
Immunogenic profile of SARS-CoV-2 spike in individuals recovered from COVID-19
Jennifer A Juno,Hyon-Xhi Tan,Wen Shi Lee,Arnold Reynaldi,Hannah G. Kelly,Hannah G. Kelly,Kathleen M. Wragg,Robyn Esterbauer,Robyn Esterbauer,Helen E Kent,Helen E Kent,Jane Batten,Francesca L Mordant,Nicholas A Gherardin,Nicholas A Gherardin,Phillip Pymm,Phillip Pymm,Melanie H. Dietrich,Melanie H. TL;DR: Both qualitative and quantitative features of B and T cell immunity to spike constitute informative biomarkers of the protective potential of novel SARS-CoV-2 vaccines.
