Standardized Nanomechanical Atomic Force Microscopy Procedure (SNAP) for Measuring Soft and Biological Samples.
Hermann Schillers,Carmela Rianna,Jens Schäpe,Tomas Luque,Holger Doschke,Mike Wälte,Juan J. Uriarte,Noelia Campillo,Georgios P. A. K. Michanetzis,Justyna Bobrowska,Andrea Dumitru,Elena T. Herruzo,Simone Bovio,Pierre Parot,Massimiliano Galluzzi,Massimiliano Galluzzi,Alessandro Podestà,Luca Puricelli,Simon Scheuring,Simon Scheuring,Yannis F. Missirlis,Ricardo Garcia,Michael Odorico,Jean-Marie Teulon,Frank Lafont,Małgorzata Lekka,Felix Rico,Annafrancesca Rigato,Jean-Luc Pellequer,Hans Oberleithner,Daniel Navajas,Manfred Radmacher +31 more
TL;DR: The standardized nanomechanical AFM procedure (SNAP) ensures the precise adjustment of the AFM optical lever system, a prerequisite for all kinds of force spectroscopy methods, to obtain reliable values independent of the instrument, laboratory and operator.
Journal ArticleDOI
Past, present and future of atomic force microscopy in life sciences and medicine
Pierre Parot,Yves F. Dufrêne,Peter Hinterdorfer,Christian Le Grimellec,Daniel Navajas,Jean-Luc Pellequer,Simon Scheuring +6 more
TL;DR: Recent progress made using AFM for studying cells and cellular interactions, probing single molecules, imaging biosurfaces at high resolution and investigating model membranes and their interactions are presented.
Journal ArticleDOI
Single and multiple bonds in (strept)avidin-biotin interactions.
Jean-Marie Teulon,Yannick Delcuze,Michael Odorico,Shu-wen W. Chen,Pierre Parot,Jean-Luc Pellequer +5 more
TL;DR: Interestingly, it is found that in literature different terms created for addressing the apparent discrepancies in the results of avidin-biotin interactions can be reconciled by taking into account multiple parallel bonds.
Journal ArticleDOI
In vivo participation of a high potential iron-sulfur protein as electron donor to the photochemical reaction center of Rubrivivax gelatinosus.
TL;DR: Analysis of flash-induced absorption changes showed that the equilibration of positive equivalents between the reaction center and HiPIP occurs in less than 1 ms after flash excitation, which indicates that the complete re-reduction of the photooxidized reaction center is achieved in tens of milliseconds.
Journal ArticleDOI
Charge recombination at low temperature in photosynthetic bacteria reaction centers: Evidence for two conformation states
TL;DR: In this paper, the decay of state P + Q − A at low temperature for bacterial reaction centers present a complex wavelength dependence around the crossing points of the light-induced difference spectrum (approx. 801 and 757 nm).
