Lavacca,Rosina Ehmann,Roman Wölfel,Jörg Jores,Bernhard Kuster,Bernhard Kuster,Ulrike Protzer,Roland Rad,John Ziebuhr,Volker Thiel,Pietro Scaturro,Pietro Scaturro,Matthias Mann,Andreas Pichlmair +32 more
TL;DR: A concurrent multi-omics study of SARS CoV-2 and SARS-CoV was conducted in this article, where the authors profiled the interactomes of both viruses, as well as their influence on the transcriptome, proteome, ubiquitinome and phosphoproteome of a lung derived human cell line.

TL;DR: The TGF-β pathway, known for its involvement in tissue fibrosis, was specifically dysregulated by Sars-CoV-2 ORF8 and autophagy by SARS-CoVs ORF3, and was identified as a hotspot that can be targeted by existing drugs and it can guide rational design of virus- and host-directed therapies.
Journal ArticleDOI
Dengue Virus Perturbs Mitochondrial Morphodynamics to Dampen Innate Immune Responses.
Laurent Chatel-Chaix,Mirko Cortese,Inés Romero-Brey,Silke Bender,Christopher J. Neufeldt,Wolfgang Fischl,Pietro Scaturro,Nicole L. Schieber,Yannick Schwab,Bernd Fischer,Alessia Ruggieri,Ralf Bartenschlager +11 more
TL;DR: It is determined that DENV nonstructural protein (NS)4B, a promising drug target with unknown function, associates with mitochondrial proteins and alters mitochondria morphology to promote infection and alleviate RIG-I-dependent activation of interferon responses.
Journal ArticleDOI
Dengue Virus Non-structural Protein 1 Modulates Infectious Particle Production via Interaction with the Structural Proteins
TL;DR: An extensive genetic map of NS1 determinants essential for viral RNA replication is provided and a novel role of NS 1 in virion production that is mediated via interaction with the structural proteins is identified.
Journal ArticleDOI
An orthogonal proteomic survey uncovers novel Zika virus host factors
Pietro Scaturro,Alexey Stukalov,Alexey Stukalov,Darya A. Haas,Mirko Cortese,Kalina Draganova,Anna Plaszczyca,Ralf Bartenschlager,Magdalena Götz,Andreas Pichlmair,Andreas Pichlmair +10 more
TL;DR: This integrative study identifies ZIKV host-dependency factors and provides a comprehensive framework for a system-level understanding of ZikV-induced perturbations at the levels of proteins and cellular pathways.
