Hydrophobic pillared square grids for selective removal of CO2 from simulated flue gas
Sameh K. Elsaidi,Sameh K. Elsaidi,Mona H. Mohamed,Mona H. Mohamed,Herbert T. Schaef,Amrit Kumar,Matteo Lusi,Tony Pham,Katherine A. Forrest,Brian Space,Wenqian Xu,Gregory J. Halder,Jun Liu,Michael J. Zaworotko,Praveen K. Thallapally +14 more
TL;DR: An isostructural family of metal organic materials of general formula M(linker)2(pillar)], linker = pyrazine, pillar = hexaflourosilicate and M = Zn, Cu, Ni and Co exhibits highly selective removal of CO2 from dry and wet simulated flue gas.
Journal ArticleDOI
Mechanism of preferential adsorption of SO$_2$ into two microporous paddle wheel frameworks M(bdc)(ted)0.5
Kui Tan,Pieremanuele Canepa,Qihan Gong,Jian Liu,Daniel H. Johnson,Allison Dyevoich,Praveen K. Thallapally,Timo Thonhauser,Jing Li,Yves J. Chabal +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the selective adsorption of a corrosive gas, SO$_2$, into two microporous pillared paddle-wheel frameworks M(bdc)(ted)0.5 [M = Ni, Zn; bdc = 1,4-benzenedicarboxylate; ted = triethylenediamine] is studied by volumetric adsorization measurements and a combination of in-situ infrared spectroscopy and ab initio density functional theory (DFT) calculations.
Journal ArticleDOI
Hydrogen‐Bonded Supramolecular Assemblies as Robust Templates in the Synthesis of Large Metal‐Coordinated Capsules
Journal ArticleDOI
Removal of Pertechnetate-Related Oxyanions from Solution Using Functionalized Hierarchical Porous Frameworks.
Debasis Banerjee,Sameh K. Elsaidi,Sameh K. Elsaidi,Briana Aguila,Baiyan Li,Dong-Sang Kim,Michael J. Schweiger,Albert A. Kruger,Christian J. Doonan,Shengqian Ma,Praveen K. Thallapally +10 more
TL;DR: Traditional materials such as resins and layered double hydroxides were evaluated for their pertechnetate or perrhenate removal capacity, but there is room for improvement in terms of capacity, selectivity and kinetics.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of ring rotation upon gas adsorption in SIFSIX-3-M (M = Fe, Ni) pillared square grid networks
Sameh K. Elsaidi,Mona H. Mohamed,Cory M. Simon,Efrem Braun,Tony Pham,Katherine A. Forrest,Wenqian Xu,Debasis Banerjee,Brian Space,Michael J. Zaworotko,Praveen K. Thallapally +10 more
TL;DR: In this article, the effect of subtle structural changes upon the gas sorption behavior of two "SIFSIX-3-M" pillared square grid frameworks, namely SIFS6-3M (M = Ni, Fe), was investigated.
