Journal ArticleDOI

Direct Observation of Li+ Ions Trapped in a Mg2+-Templated Metal-Organic Framework.

TL;DR: The first example of a metal-organic framework (MOF) in which the location of Li+ ions trapped in the porous confinement can be unambiguously defined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction is reported.
Journal ArticleDOI

Metal Organic Frameworks for Xenon Storage Applications

TL;DR: In this paper, metal organic frameworks for use as adsorbents for xenon were investigated and three representative MOFs were synthesized and characterized in terms of Xe storage, which were used to validate a computational modeling approach, which was later extended to a larger set of materials.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis of porous organic cage CC3 via solvent modulated evaporation

TL;DR: In this article, a Humidity Modulated Solvent Evaporation (HMSE) approach is used to promote the nucleation and growth of CC3 crystals, which relies on the gradual evaporation of dichloromethane (solvent) from a diluted concentration of precursors deposited on aluminum foil.
Journal ArticleDOI

Porous Covalent Organic Polymers for efficient Fluorocarbon‐based Adsorption Cooling

TL;DR: In this paper, the first exploration of fluorocarbon adsorption using porous covalent organic polymers (COPs) for this cooling application was reported, and the key role of mesoporous defects was demonstrated by molecular simulations based on atomistic defect-containing models built for both porous COPs.
