Crystal face dependent wettability of α-quartz: Elucidation by time-of-flight secondary ion mass spectrometry techniques combined with molecular dynamics.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors measured the contact angles of three different liquids on the crystal faces of α-quartz and used the time-of-flight secondary ion mass spectrometry (ToF-SIMS) to establish the crystal surface models; molecular dynamics simulations with the surface models were performed to understand the wetting behavior at molecular scale.
Journal ArticleDOI

Low-field 1H NMR relaxometry of water molecules confined in microporous UiO-66

TL;DR: In this paper, water molecules confined in a microporous metal-organic framework (MOF) were characterized by low-field 1H nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy.
