The HERA-19 Commissioning Array: Direction-dependent Effects

Saul A. Kohn, +76 more
TL;DR: Kohn et al. as discussed by the authors performed a simple image-based calibration based on the unpolarized diffuse emission of the Global Sky Model, and showed that it achieves qualitative redundancy between the nominally redundant baselines of the array and reasonable amplitude accuracy.
Journal ArticleDOI

HI 21cm Cosmology and the Bi-spectrum: Closure Diagnostics in Massively Redundant Interferometric Arrays

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors employ the closure phase spectra for redundant triads to estimate departures from redundancy for redundant baseline visibilities, and show that the median absolute deviation from redundancy in closure phase across the observed frequency range of about 4.5deg.
