Journal ArticleDOI

Novel hepacivirus in Asian house shrew, China.

TL;DR: A highly diverse group of hepaciviruses discovered in the Asian house shrews captured in Shenzhen city, China are named as Suncus murinus hepacvirus (SmHCV), suggesting that these mammals play an important role as a reservoir for viruses.
Journal ArticleDOI

Identification of potent human neutralizing antibodies against SARS-CoV-2 implications for development of therapeutics and prophylactics.

TL;DR: Wang et al. as discussed by the authors identified two potent antibodies targeting the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein receptor-binding domain (RBD) with high affinities from a naive human phage display library.
Journal ArticleDOI

Characterization of Novel Rhabdoviruses in Chinese Bats

TL;DR: Wang et al. as discussed by the authors performed a large molecular retrospective study based on the real-time reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-qPCR) detection of lyssavirus in bat samples (1044 brain and 3532 saliva samples, from 63 different bat species).
Journal ArticleDOI

Bat mammalian orthoreoviruses cause severe pneumonia in mice.

TL;DR: This study investigated the host range and pathogenicity of 3 bat MRV strains (WIV2, 3 and 7) which represent three serotypes and showed that all of them can infect cell lines from different mammalian species and displayed different replication efficiency.
