Journal ArticleDOI

The Impact of Time Interval between Hepatic Resection and Liver Transplantation on Clinical Outcome in Patients with Hepatocellular Carcinoma

TL;DR: In this article, the authors analyzed the impact of hepatic resection (HR) on post-LT complications and showed that the time interval between HR and secondary liver transplantation (time HR-SLT) was an independent predictor of severe complications after LT.
Journal ArticleDOI

Primary tumor location as a prognostic implication in patients undergoing resection for colorectal liver metastasis: A propensity score-matched analysis.

TL;DR: This data indicates that primary tumor location is an important prognostic factor for colorectal cancer, including coloreCTal liver metastases (CLM), and this work aims to assess the implications of this finding for clinical practice and disease progression.
Journal ArticleDOI

Initial piggyback technique facilitates late liver retransplantation.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors evaluated different surgical strategies with regard to inferior vena cava (IVC) in late liver retransplantation (ReLT) and found that caval preservation was associated with a lower number of packed red blood cells and a lower incidence of post-transplant acute kidney injury.
Journal ArticleDOI

De novo hepatocellular carcinoma in a non-cirrhotic allograft 27 years after liver transplantation: A case report.

TL;DR: A 33-year-old man underwent deceased donor liver transplantation due to HBV-HDV cirrhosis in 1991 and after 27 years, his routine follow-up sonography showed incidentally a 37 mm hepatic nodule in segment VII which revealed after percutaneous liver guided biopsy a hepatocellular carcinoma as discussed by the authors.
