Cyclobutyne ligands. 5. C-H bond cleavage versus ring opening of [sigma],[pi]-coordinated cyclobutenyl ligands

TL;DR: The reaction of 1-bromocyclobutene with Os[sub 3]-CO)[sub 10]-NCMe[sub 2] at 25 [degree]C yielded two new complexes: (1; 44%) and (2; 16%) Compound 1 contains a bridging bromo ligand across the open edge of a triosmium cluster.
Journal ArticleDOI

Cyclobutyne ligands. 2. Reactions of cyclobutyne triosmium complex [cyclic] Os3(CO)9(.mu.3-.eta.2-C2CH2CH2)(.mu.-SPh)(.mu.-H) with diphenylacetylene

TL;DR: In this paper, the triosmium complex with diphenylacetylene at 97°degree C resulted in the formation of three products: the known compound Os[sub 2](CO)[sub 6]-[mu]-[eta][sup 2]-C=CHCH[sub 1]CH [sub 2]
Journal ArticleDOI

Rhenium carbonyl complexes containing bridging SiPh3 and SiPh2 ligands

TL;DR: The reaction of Re2(CO)8[μ-C(H)C(Bun](μ-H)Bun] (1) with Ph3SiH at 97 °C has yielded the three new compounds Re( CO)5(SiPh3) (5), Re2CO)6(μ-η7-SiPh 3) (6), and Re2 CO)8(μPh2)2 (7) in 13, 10, and 30% yields, respectively as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI

The Synthesis of Stabilized Dimetallated Thioimidate Complexes by the Insertion of Ethoxycarbonylisothiocyanate into a Rhenium–Rhenium Bond

TL;DR: In this paper, the insertion of an organic isothiocyanates into an unsupported metal-metal bond has been shown to form a dimetallathio-imidate group.
