Journal ArticleDOI

Cluster Fragmentation and Facile Cleavage of Phenyl Groups from the SnPh3 Ligand in Reactions of Os3(CO)11(SnPh3)(μ-H) with CO and HSnPh3

TL;DR: Two new cluster complexes, Os3(CO)12(Ph)(μ3-SnPh), 8 (35% yield) and Os4(CO), 16(μ4-Sn), 9 (10% yield), were formed when the complex of 6 with HSnPh3 was heated to reflux in toluene solvent under a CO atmosphere.
Journal ArticleDOI

New route to dehydroannulenes by coupling linear polyynes using ruthenium carbonyl.

TL;DR: The reaction of FcC⋮CC⋷CC⊂CCⓂCFc with Ru3(CO)12 has yielded the novel cyclic polyyne, which contains a planar cyclic tetrayne with two Ru2( CO)6 metallacycles and four ferrocenyl groups lie on the same side of the ring.
Journal ArticleDOI

Rhenium-bismuth carbonyl cluster compounds.

TL;DR: The reaction of Re(2)(CO)(8)[mu-eta(2)-C( H)=C(H)Bu(n)](mu-H) with BiPh(3) in heptane solvent at reflux yielded three new compounds, which contain two fused rings and a quadruply bridging BiPhBiPh ligand that contains a Bi-Bi bond.
Journal ArticleDOI

Isocyanide insertion reactions. The reaction of Mn(CO)/sub 4/CNCH/sub 3/ anion with iodomethane and the crystal and molecular structure of (CH/sub 3/)N == C(CH/sub 3/)(CH/sub 3/)C == N(CH/sub 3/)Mn(CO)/sub 3/Mn(CO)/sub 3/

TL;DR: In this article, the cyclic compounds (CH/sub 3/)N == C(R)Fe(CO)/sub 3/Fe( CO)/sub 4/(CNCH/Sub 3/)/sup -/ with CH/sub3/I were analyzed crystallographically.
