Consensus on consensus: a synthesis of consensus estimates on human-caused global warming
John Cook,John Cook,Naomi Oreskes,Peter T. Doran,William R. L. Anderegg,William R. L. Anderegg,Bart Verheggen,Edward Maibach,J. Stuart Carlton,Stephan Lewandowsky,Stephan Lewandowsky,Andrew G. Skuce,Sarah A. Green,Dana Nuccitelli,Peter G. Jacobs,Mark Richardson,Bärbel Winkler,Rob Painting,Ken Rice +18 more
TL;DR: The consensus that humans are causing recent global warming is shared by 90% to 100% of publishing climate scientists according to six independent studies by co-authors of this paper as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI
Quantifying the consensus on anthropogenic global warming in the scientific literature
John Cook,Dana Nuccitelli,Sarah A. Green,Mark Richardson,Rob Painting,Robert G. Way,Peter G. Jacobs,Andrew G. Skuce +7 more
TL;DR: This paper analyzed the evolution of the scientific consensus on anthropogenic global warming (AGW) in the peer-reviewed scientific literature, examining 11 944 climate abstracts from 1991 to 2011 matching the topics "global climate change" or "global warming".
Journal ArticleDOI
Reply to ‘Quantifying the consensus on anthropogenic global warming in the scientific literature: A re-analysis’
John Cook,Dana Nuccitelli,Andrew G. Skuce,Peter G. Jacobs,Rob Painting,Rob Honeycutt,Sarah A. Green,Stephan Lewandowsky,Stephan Lewandowsky,Mark Richardson,Robert G. Way +10 more
TL;DR: The authors show that T14′s claims of a slightly lower consensus result from a basic calculation error that manufactures approximately 300 nonexistent rejection papers is of the wrong sign, with reconciliation resulting in a slight increase.
Journal ArticleDOI
Comment on “Ocean heat content and Earthʼs radiation imbalance. II. Relation to climate shifts”
TL;DR: This paper showed that the current global flux imbalance is consistent with continued anthropogenic climate change by using OHC data to a depth of 2000 meters and demonstrate this data explains the majority of the discrepancies between DK12 and previous works.
