Fire Influence on Regional to Global Environments and Air Quality (FIREX‐AQ)

TL;DR: The recent FIREX-AQ experiment as mentioned in this paper was a multi-agency, interdisciplinary research effort to obtain detailed measurements of trace gas and aerosol emissions from wildfires and prescribed fires using aircraft, satellites and ground-based instruments, making extensive suborbital remote sensing measurements of fire dynamics, assessing local, regional and global modeling of fires, and strengthening connections to observables on the ground such as fuels and fuel consumption and satellite products such as burned area and fire radiative power.

Fine Ash‐Bearing Particles as a Major Aerosol Component in Biomass Burning Smoke

TL;DR: In this paper , the authors measured BB aerosol samples using transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and ion chromatography during the Fire Influence on Regional to Global Environments and Air Quality (FIREX•AQ) campaign.
