Comparison of Zotarolimus-Eluting and Everolimus-Eluting Coronary Stents
Patrick W. Serruys,Sigmund Silber,Scot Garg,Robert-Jan van Geuns,Gert Richardt,Paweł Buszman,Henning Kelbæk,Adrianus J. van Boven,Sjoerd H. Hofma,Axel Linke,Volker Klauss,William Wijns,Carlos Macaya,Philippe Garot,Carlo DiMario,Ganesh Manoharan,Ran Kornowski,Thomas Ischinger,Antonio L. Bartorelli,Jacintha Ronden,Marco Bressers,Pierre Gobbens,Manuela Negoita,Frank van Leeuwen,Stephan Windecker +24 more
TL;DR: At 13 months, the new-generation zotarolimus-eluting stent was found to be noninferior to the everolimus -elutingStent in a population of patients who had minimal exclusion criteria.
Journal ArticleDOI
Biolimus-eluting stent with biodegradable polymer versus sirolimus-eluting stent with durable polymer for coronary revascularisation (LEADERS): a randomised non-inferiority trial
Stephan Windecker,Patrick W. Serruys,Simon Wandel,Paweł Buszman,Stanislaw Trznadel,Axel Linke,Karsten Lenk,Thomas Ischinger,Volker Klauss,Franz R. Eberli,Roberto Corti,William Wijns,Marie-Claude Morice,Carlo Di Mario,Simon J. Davies,Robert-Jan van Geuns,Pedro Eerdmans,Gerrit Anne van Es,B. Meier,Peter Jüni +19 more
TL;DR: It is suggested that a stents eluting biolimus from a biodegradable polymer represents a safe and effective alternative to a stent eluting sirolimus from a durable polymer in patients with chronic stable coronary artery disease or acute coronary syndromes.
Journal ArticleDOI
Catheter-based intramyocardial injection of autologous skeletal myoblasts as a primary treatment of ischemic heart failure: clinical experience with six-month follow-up.
Pieter C. Smits,Robert-Jan van Geuns,Don Poldermans,Manolis Bountioukos,Emile Onderwater,Chi-Hang Lee,Alex P.W.M Maat,Patrick W. Serruys +7 more
TL;DR: This pilot study is the first to demonstrate the potential and feasibility of percutaneous skeletal myoblast delivery as a stand-alone procedure for myocardial repair in patients with post-infarction HF.
Journal ArticleDOI
Evaluation of the Accuracy of Gadolinium-Enhanced Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance in the Diagnosis of Cardiac Sarcoidosis
