TL;DR: The data show that ZEB1 represents a key player in pathologic EMTs associated with tumour progression, and downregulation in undifferentiated cancer cells by RNA interference was sufficient to upregulate expression of cell polarity genes on the RNA and protein level, to re-establish epithelial features and to impair cell motility in vitro.

Transferrin-polycation-DNA complexes: the effect of polycations on the structure of the complex and DNA delivery to cells.
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that the transfection activity of the DNA complex can be increased by addition of free polycation as long as a sufficient quantity of polycation-transferrin conjugates remains in the complex to ensure its binding to the cellular receptor.
