A Robust CRISPR/Cas9 System for Convenient, High-Efficiency Multiplex Genome Editing in Monocot and Dicot Plants
Xingliang Ma,Qunyu Zhang,Qinlong Zhu,Liu Wei,Yan Chen,Rong Qiu,Bin Wang,Zhongfang Yang,Heying Li,Lin Yuru,Yongyao Xie,Rongxin Shen,Shuifu Chen,Zhi Wang,Yuanling Chen,Jingxin Guo,Letian Chen,Xiucai Zhao,Zhicheng Dong,Yao-Guang Liu +19 more
TL;DR: A robust CRISPR/Cas9 vector system, utilizing a plant codon optimized Cas9 gene, for convenient and high-efficiency multiplex genome editing in monocot and dicot plants and provides examples of loss-of-function gene mutations in T0 rice and Arabidopsis plants.
Journal ArticleDOI
Genetic interactions between diverged alleles of Early heading date 1 (Ehd1) and Heading date 3a (Hd3a)/ RICE FLOWERING LOCUS T1 (RFT1) control differential heading and contribute to regional adaptation in rice (Oryza sativa).
Jing Zhao,Hongyi Chen,Ding Ren,Hui-wu Tang,Rong Qiu,Jinglei Feng,Yunming Long,Baixiao Niu,Danping Chen,Tianyu Zhong,Yao-Guang Liu,Jingxin Guo +11 more
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that, in an ehd1 mutant background, Hd3a was silenced, but RFT1 was expressed (although at lower levels than in plants with a functional Ehd1) under short- day (SD) and long-day (LD) conditions, and analyses of sequence variation and geographic distribution suggested that functional R FT1 alleles were selected during rice adaptation to high-latitude regions.
Journal ArticleDOI
Strong photoperiod sensitivity is controlled by cooperation and competition among Hd1, Ghd7 and DTH8 in rice heading
Wubei Zong,Ding Ren,Minghui Huang,Kangli Sun,Jinglei Feng,Jing Zhao,Dongdong Xiao,Wenhao Xie,Shiqi Liu,Han Zhang,Rong Qiu,Wenjing Tang,Ruqi Yang,Hongyi Chen,Xianrong Xie,Letian Chen,Yao-Guang Liu,Jingxin Guo +17 more
TL;DR: It is revealed that rice PS flowering is controlled by crosstalk of two modules – Hd1–Hd3a/RFT1 in SD conditions and (Hd1/Ghd7/DTH8)–Ehd1– Hd3A/R FT1 in LD conditions – and the divergences of these genes provide the basis for rice adaptation to broad regions.

TL;DR: In this article , a lower relative abundance of ectomycorrhizal fungi under a warmer and drier climate is linked to enhanced soil organic matter decomposition. But an author, Lupe León-Sánchez, was in advertently omitted from the authorship of the paper.
