Journal ArticleDOI

Overview of the HUPO Plasma Proteome Project: results from the pilot phase with 35 collaborating laboratories and multiple analytical groups, generating a core dataset of 3020 proteins and a publicly-available database.

TL;DR: Reverse protein to DNA matching identified proteins for 118 previously unidentified ORFs in the PPP database, and the database permits examination of many other subsets, such as 1274 proteins identified with three or more peptides.
Journal ArticleDOI

An analysis of the proteomic profile for Thermoanaerobacter tengcongensis under optimal culture conditions.

TL;DR: Of the 1200 proteins identified, as few as 76 proteins were globally found by all three approaches, and notably, most of these proteins were in the soluble fraction, suggesting that the strategy provides a means toward obtaining a comprehensive view of protein expression profile.
