Journal ArticleDOI

Red shifts of the Eg(1) Raman mode of nanocrystalline TiO2:Er monoliths grown by sol–gel process

TL;DR: In this paper, Nanocrystalline monoliths of Er doped TiO2 were prepared by the sol-gel technique, by controlling the Er-doping levels into the TiO 2 precursor solution.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effects of mesquite gum-candelilla wax based edible coatings on the quality of guava fruit (Psidium guajava L.)

TL;DR: In this paper, the ability of composite edible coatings to preserve the quality of guava fruit (Psidium guqjava L.) at 20°C was studied for a period of 15 days.
Journal ArticleDOI

Thermal, Mechanical and Microstructures Properties of Cellulose Derivatives Films: A Comparative Study

TL;DR: In this paper, the physical properties of different biopolymers films were evaluated by the Open Photoacoustic Cell method; also, their mechanical properties such as tensile strength, elongation, and Young's modulus were measured by X-ray diffraction and microstructure through atomic force microscopy in contact mode.
Journal ArticleDOI

Influence of CaCl2 on the water vapor permeability and the surface morphology of mesquite gum based edible films

TL;DR: The Carreau-Yasuda model fitted best the viscosity-shear rate data of all the emulsions as discussed by the authors, and the surface morphology of the edible films, analyzed by Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM), exhibited a strong dependence on the CaCl 2 concentration.
Journal ArticleDOI

Influence of rhodamine 6G doping on the optical properties of TiO2 sol-gel films

TL;DR: The optical properties of the R6G-doped thin films were characterized by photoacoustic, excitation, and fluorescence spectroscopies as discussed by the authors, and the optical absorption of undoped rutile-phase bulk TiO2 was calculated and compared to the experimental results.
