Cytochrome P450 inhibitory potential of Triphala--a Rasayana from Ayurveda.
TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of triphala on drug modulating enzymes was evaluated by using HPLC analysis with gallic acid as an analytical marker compound, and the results showed that the triphalia formulation and its individual components showed significantly less inhibitory activity ( p in vitro effect of 'triphala'on drug modifying enzymes has important implications for predicting the likelihood of herbdrug interactions if these are administered concomitantly.
