Experimental Observation of Interatomic Coulombic Decay in Neon Dimers
Till Jahnke,Achim Czasch,Markus Schöffler,S. Schössler,A. Knapp,M. Käsz,J. Titze,C. Wimmer,K. Kreidi,Robert E. Grisenti,André Staudte,Ottmar Jagutzki,Uwe Hergenhahn,Horst Schmidt-Böcking,Reinhard Dörner +14 more
TL;DR: In this paper, an experimental observation of ICD in $2s$ ionized neon dimers is reported, which is unambiguously identified by detecting the energy of two ${\mathrm{N}mathm{e}^{1+}$ fragments and the ICD electron in coincidence.
Journal ArticleDOI
Binary and recoil collisions in strong field double ionization of helium.
André Staudte,Camilo Ruiz,Markus Schöffler,S. Schössler,D. Zeidler,Th. Weber,M. Meckel,David M. Villeneuve,Paul B. Corkum,Andreas Becker,Reinhard Dörner +10 more
TL;DR: A so-far unobserved fingerlike structure in the correlated electron momentum distribution is found, interpreted as a signature of the microscopic dynamics in the recollision process and supported by analyzing ab initio solutions of a fully correlated three-dimensional helium model.
Journal ArticleDOI
Characterization of a high-pressure microdischarge using diode laser atomic absorption spectroscopy
C. Penache,M Miclea,Angela Brauning-Demian,O. Hohn,S. Schössler,Till Jahnke,K Niemax,Horst Schmidt-Böcking +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a high-pressure dc glow discharge based on micro-structured-electrode (MSE) arrays was investigated by diode laser atomic absorption spectroscopy, and the gas temperature and electron number density were evaluated from the analysis of the absorption line profiles, taking into account significant broadening mechanisms.
Journal ArticleDOI
Circular dichroism in K-shell ionization from fixed-in-space CO and N2 molecules.
Till Jahnke,Th. Weber,A. L. Landers,A. Knapp,S. Schössler,J Nickles,S. Kammer,Ottmar Jagutzki,L. Schmidt,Achim Czasch,Timur Osipov,Elke Arenholz,A. T. Young,R. Díez Muiño,R. Díez Muiño,D. Rolles,F. J. García de Abajo,Charles S. Fadley,Charles S. Fadley,M. A. Van Hove,M. A. Van Hove,S. K. Semenov,N. A. Cherepkov,J. Rösch,M. H. Prior,Horst Schmidt-Böcking,C. L. Cocke,R. Dörner +27 more
TL;DR: State-of-the-art one-electron multiple scattering and partially correlated random phase approximation calculations are in good agreement with many, but not all, aspects of the experimental data.
Journal ArticleDOI
Attosecond strobing of two-surface population dynamics in dissociating H2+.
André Staudte,André Staudte,D. Pavičić,Szczepan Chelkowski,D. Zeidler,M. Meckel,Hiromichi Niikura,Markus Schöffler,S. Schössler,B. Ulrich,P. P. Rajeev,Th. Weber,Till Jahnke,David M. Villeneuve,André D. Bandrauk,C. L. Cocke,Paul B. Corkum,R. Dörner +17 more
TL;DR: By solving the two-level time-dependent Schrödinger equation, it is shown that an interference between the net-two-photon and the one- photon transition creates localized electrons which subsequently ionize.
