TL;DR: Treatment with ursodeoxycholic acid does not reduce adverse perinatal outcomes in women with intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy, and its routine use for this condition should be reconsidered.
Journal ArticleDOI
The placental bed in pregnancies complicated by primary antiphospholipid syndrome
S Stone,Robert Pijnenborg,Lisbeth Vercruysse,Robin Poston,Munther A. Khamashta,B J Hunt,Lucilla Poston +6 more
TL;DR: Investigation of the placental bed in women with primary antiphospholipid syndrome for evidence of impaired trophoblast invasion, endothelial cell activation (ECA) and macrophage infiltration found inflammatory mechanisms in the placement may contribute to APS pregnancy complications.
Journal ArticleDOI
Planned early delivery or expectant management for late preterm pre-eclampsia (PHOENIX): a randomised controlled trial

TL;DR: There is strong evidence to suggest that planned delivery reduces maternal morbidity and severe hypertension compared with expectant management, with more neonatal unit admissions related to prematurity but no indicators of greater neonatal morbidity.
Journal ArticleDOI
Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and reversible female infertility: is there a link?
TL;DR: A link can be identified between NSAID use and reversible female infertility and NSAID withdrawal should be considered prior to or concurrent with fertility investigations.
Journal ArticleDOI
Placentation, antiphospholipid syndrome and pregnancy outcome
TL;DR: The evidence for defective placentation in APS pregnancies and involvement of aPLs in this process is summarized and hypotheses based on the interpretation of these studies are discussed.
