A medical ultrasonic diagnostic imaging system is provided which is capable of being accessed over data communication networks such as the Internet, making the ultrasonic images, diagnostic reports, and ultrasound system diagnostics information and operation accessible to a conventional personal computer using commercially available software at virtually any remote location. In one embodiment, the ultrasound system can be remotely operated from the personal computer. The inventive apparatus and techniques make it possible for physicians to remotely access, control, and perform diagnoses using their ultrasound systems over a network such as the World Wide Web with no special hardware requirements.

A monitoring system for a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system of a building includes a monitoring device installed at the building, a monitoring server located remotely from the building, and a review server. The monitoring device measures an aggregate current supplied to components of the HVAC system and transmits current data based on the measured aggregate current. The monitoring server receives the transmitted current data and, based on the received current data, assesses whether failures have occurred in first and second components of the HVAC components. The monitoring server generates a first advisory in response to determining that the failure has occurred in the first component. The review server provides the first advisory to a technician for review and, in response to the technician verifying that the failure has occurred, transmits a first alert.

Residential solutions hvac monitoring and diagnosis

Ultrasonic arrays allow a given scatterer to be illuminated from a wide range of angles and hence are capable of extracting significant information about the scatterer. In this paper a general imaging methodology, termed multi-mode total focusing method, is proposed in which any combination of modes and reflections can be used to produce an image of the test structure. Like the total focusing method, this approach is implemented by post-processing the full matrix of array data to achieve a synthetic focus at every pixel in the image. A hybrid model is used to predict the array data and demonstrate the performance of the multi-mode imaging concept. This hybrid model combines far field scattering coefficient matrices with a ray-based wave propagation model. This allows the inclusion of longitudinal waves, shear waves and wave mode conversions. It is shown that, with prior knowledge of likely scatterer location and orientation, the mode combination and array location can be optimised to maximise the performance of array inspections. A practically relevant weld inspection application is then described and its optimisation is discussed.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To emit an ultrasonic wave toward a coating layer to detect energy change based on a received wave from the coating layer, so as to exactly determine a degree of deterioration of a coating material based on the energy change. SOLUTION: In this invention, a part for evaluating the degree of deterioration in the coating material is selected (step 1), the energy change by the ultrasonic wave in the selected part is found (step 2), a layer thickness of the coating layer is found (step 3), the energy changes are classified in the every found layer thickness (step 4), an image is formed in the every found layer thickness based on the energy change (step 5), the imaged energy change is collated with a master curve prepared preliminarily to determine the necessity for repairing (step 7), and information therein is displayed (step 8).

Method and device for determining deterioration of coating material

Liquid immersion lithography tools with NA=1.3 are being applied for hp4x node device and beyond. As the typical
DOF has been reduced to 100 nm or less for this hyper-NA exposure, precise consideration of the error factors that lead
to DOF reduction is required. The BFD (Best Focus Difference between pattern kinds) induced by resist stack is one of
the error factors yet to be solved. In this work, the BFD induced by resist stack was studied through simulation and
experiment by decomposing it into the following three components: One induced by the "refraction" effect, one induced
by the "reflection" effect and one induced by the "process" effect. Each BFD was evaluated by simulation to make a
BFD budget. Experimental verification was also performed, which confirmed BFD of 25 nm and it was found that over
30 % of the observed BFD was induced owing to resist stack. Based on this result, we discuss a method for controlling
the BFD by utilizing projection lens aberration and review the design flow of resist stacks with antireflection coatings.

Design of resist stacks with antireflection coatings from the viewpoint of focus budget

PURPOSE:To enable the detection of flaws at a very high accuracy for a construction with a hole by deflecting and focusing an ultrasonic beam transmitted from a vibrator and received while the signals are added and combined each time received in the direction of transmitting the ultrasonic beams. CONSTITUTION:Any one side is selected with a vibrator converter 4 from sides (a)-(f) of a regular hexagon-shaped ultrasonic probe 1 to detect flaws in a construction CON by a delay time control. In this manner, a sector scanning is performed continuously in sequence from the boundary A1 to B1, a signal received is added up and detected to be indicated in B scope on an image display 10 and the image obtained is memorized into an image display 10. Subsequently, flaws are detected sequentially in the areas B and -F and a whole image is indicated in B scope on the image display 10A while the position of a defect CR is indicated on a numerical display 10B. Furthermore, the ultrasonic probe 1 is advanced to detect flaws along the depth of a hole thereby enabling a highly accurate detection of flows.
