Journal ArticleDOI

pH-sensitive sodium alginate/poly(vinyl alcohol) hydrogel beads prepared by combined Ca2+ crosslinking and freeze-thawing cycles for controlled release of diclofenac sodium.

TL;DR: FT process enhanced drug entrapment efficiency, improved swelling behaviors and slowed release of drug from the dual crosslinked beads compared with pure SA beads crosslinked with Ca2+ ion alone, which provide a facile and effective method to improve the drug delivery system.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis, characterization and swelling behaviors of sodium alginate-g-poly(acrylic acid)/sodium humate superabsorbent

TL;DR: In this article, a graft copolymerization with sodium alginate, acrylic acid and sodium humate in aqueous solution, using N,N’ -methylenebisacrylamide as a crosslinker and ammonium persulfate as an initiator, was studied.
Journal ArticleDOI

Adsorption behavior of Cu2+ from aqueous solutions onto starch-g-poly(acrylic acid)/sodium humate hydrogels

TL;DR: In this paper, a series of starch-g-poly(acrylic acid)/sodium humate (Stg-PAA/SH) hydrogels were prepared and used to adsorb Cu2+ from the aqueous solution.
Journal ArticleDOI

Controlled release of ofloxacin from chitosan–montmorillonite hydrogel

TL;DR: A series of ofloxacin/montmorillonite/chitosan (OFL/MMT/CTS) hydrogels were prepared by solution intercalation and ionic crosslinking with sodium tripolyphosphate (TPP).
Journal ArticleDOI

A pH-sensitive nanocomposite microsphere based on chitosan and montmorillonite with in vitro reduction of the burst release effect.

TL;DR: A sustained release particulate system can be obtained by incorporating MMT into the nanocomposite microspheres and can improve the burst release effect of the drug.
