Journal ArticleDOI
Analysis of common genetic variants identifies RELN as a risk gene for schizophrenia in Chinese population.
Ming Li,Xiong-Jian Luo,Xiao Xiao,Lei Shi,Xing-yan Liu,Li-de Yin,Xiao-yuan Ma,Shun-Ying Yang,Xing-Fu Pu,Jin Yu,Hong-bo Diao,Hong Shi,Bing Su +12 more
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that RELN is a susceptibility gene for schizophrenia in Chinese population, and it is likely a common risk gene for schizophrenic disease in major populations worldwide.
Journal ArticleDOI
A common variant of the cardiomyopathy associated 5 gene (CMYA5) is associated with schizophrenia in Chinese population.
Ming Li,Ming Li,Xiong-Jian Luo,Xiong-Jian Luo,Xu Zhang,Xu Zhang,Zhaohui Yang,Zhaohui Yang,Kun Xiang,Kun Xiang,Xiao Xiao,Bing Su,Ya-li Zhao,Yan Shen,Qi Xu,Xiangning Chen,Jingchun Chen,Xing-yan Liu,Li-de Yin,Xiao-yuan Ma,Shun-Ying Yang,Jin Yu,Hong-bo Diao,Xiao-dong Shi +23 more
Journal ArticleDOI
Association of RELN promoter SNPs with schizophrenia in the Chinese population.
Lü-Hua Chang,Ming Li,Xiong-Jian Luo,Xing-yan Liu,Li-de Yin,Shun-Ying Yang,Hong-bo Diao,Bing Su,Xing-Fu Pu +8 more
TL;DR: Investigating the associations of three SNPs in the promoter region of RELN with schizophrenia in a case-control sample from southwestern China suggested that none of the SNPs showed significant associations in the sample, indicating the risk variants for schizophrenia in RELN may not be located in the promoters.
Journal ArticleDOI
The functional polymorphisms linked with interleukin-1β gene expression are associated with bipolar disorder.
TL;DR: Zhang et al. as mentioned in this paper found that the functional SNPs in the promoter region of IL-1β gene were significantly associated with risk of Bipolar disorder, and the haplotype analyses further supported the involvement of IL 1β promoter SNPs.
