Elastic, inelastic, and path length fluctuations in jet tomography
TL;DR: In this article, the perturbative QCD was extended to include elastic as well as inelastic parton energy losses and jet path length fluctuations, which significantly reduced the discrepancy between theory and current data without violating the global entropy bounds.
Journal ArticleDOI
Heavy-ion collisions at the LHC-Last call for predictions

TL;DR: A compilation of predictions for the forthcoming Heavy Ion Program at the Large Hadron Collider, as presented at the CERN Theory Institute 'Heavy Ion Collisions at the LHC - Last Call for Predictions', held from 14th May to 10th June 2007, can be found in this article.
Journal ArticleDOI
Influence of bottom quark jet quenching on single electron tomography of Au + Au
TL;DR: In this paper, the DGLV theory of radiative energy loss was applied to predict c and b quark jet quenching and compare the FONLL and PYTHIA heavy flavor fragmentation and decay schemes.
Journal ArticleDOI
A theory of jet shapes and cross sections: from hadrons to nuclei
TL;DR: In this paper, the shape and cross-section of a jet were measured as a new, differential and accurate test of the underlying QCD theory for heavy ion reactions at the LHC.
Journal ArticleDOI
Open charm and beauty at ultrarelativistic heavy ion colliders
TL;DR: This work predicts the suppression pattern of open charm and beauty in Au+Au collisions at RHIC and LHC energies based on the DGLV formalism of radiative energy loss and predicts a cancellation between effects due to the sqrt[s] energy dependence of the high p(T) slope and heavy quark energy loss.
