Visible light assisted activation of peroxymonosulfate by bimetallic MOF based heterojunction MIL-53(Fe/Co)/CeO2 for atrazine degradation: Pivotal roles of dual redox cycle for reactive species generation

TL;DR: In this article, a synthesis method for preparation of bimetallic metal organic framework (MOF) based heterojunction photocatalyst MIL-53(Fe/Co)/CeO2 (MIL-CO) and its potential towards activation of peroxymonosulfate (PMS) in water, under visible light irradiation.
Journal ArticleDOI

Investigation of antifouling and disinfection potential of chitosan coated iron oxide-PAN hollow fiber membrane using Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria.

TL;DR: The hollow fiber membrane shows promising antibiofouling property even after long experimental run as evident by 95% flux recovery ratio and the result indicated that there was no detectable iron in the permeate sample that could impose adverse health hazard.

Effect of electric field during gel-layer controlled ultrafiltration of synthetic and fruit juice

TL;DR: In this article, an electric field enhanced ultrafiltration of pectin-sucrose mixture (synthetic juice) and mosambi ( Citrus sinensis (L.) Osbeck) fruit juice using 50,000 polyerthersulfon membrane was studied in a cross-flow cell.
Journal ArticleDOI

Application of nanofiltration membrane for treatment of chloride rich steel plant effluent

TL;DR: In this paper, a composite charged nanofiltration membrane of polysulfone and zinc chloride was used to treat the effluent from TATA Steel, India, which was pre-treated by passing over granular activated carbon and total solid was reduced by 38%.
