Journal ArticleDOI

Trace gas detection with antimonide-based quantum-well diode lasers.

TL;DR: Using these devices an experimental setup for open path gas detection has been developed and their emission wavelength makes them suitable for the detection of many gas species in the wavelength range which corresponds to an atmospheric transmission window.
Journal ArticleDOI

Sb-based monolithic VCSEL operating near 2.2 [micro sign]m at room temperature

TL;DR: In this paper, a monolithic Sb-based vertical cavity surface emitting laser (VCSEL) operating near 2.2 /spl mu/m at room temperature has been successfully fabricated and characterised.
Journal ArticleDOI

Characterization of ohmic contacts on n- and p-type GaSb

TL;DR: Ohmic contacts on GaSb were achieved using ZnAu multilayers for p-type GaSB and TeAu multi-layer for n-type GASb in this paper, where the surface composition was studied by means of secondary ion mass spectrometry, showing that interface alloying gives the best results.
Journal ArticleDOI

Low noise ohmic contacts on n and p type GaSb

TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated metallization systems for producing ohmic contacts onto GaSb and obtained the minimization of contact resistivity with Au-Zn on p type and Au-Te on n type.
Journal ArticleDOI

Type-I quantum-well VCSEL structure on GaSb emitting in the 2-2.5 /spl mu/m range

TL;DR: In this article, the first optically pumped GaSb-based VCSELs were fabricated in two steps: a growth by molecular beam epitaxy (MBE) on Ga Sb substrate, and an evaporation of dielectric materials.
