Michael E. Benros,Philip R. Nielsen,Merete Nordentoft,William W. Eaton,Susanne Oksbjerg Dalton,Preben Bo Mortensen +5 more
TL;DR: Autoimmune disease and the number of infections requiring hospitalization are risk factors for schizophrenia and the increased risk is compatible with an immunological hypothesis in subgroups of schizophrenia patients.
Journal ArticleDOI

Susanne Oksbjerg Dalton,Christoffer Johansen,Lene Mellemkjær,Bente Mertz Nørgård,Henrik Toft Sørensen,Jørgen H. Olsen +5 more
TL;DR: Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors increase the risk of upper GI bleeding, and this effect is potentiated by concurrent use of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs or low-dose aspirin, whereas an increased risk ofupper GI bleeding could not be attributed to other types of antidepressants.
Journal ArticleDOI

Søren Friis,Aslak Harbo Poulsen,Søren Paaske Johnsen,Søren Paaske Johnsen,Joseph K. McLaughlin,Jon P. Fryzek,Susanne Oksbjerg Dalton,Henrik Toft Sørensen,Jørgen H. Olsen +8 more
TL;DR: In summary, individuals prescribed statins experienced a slightly reduced cancer incidence compared to population controls of nonusers and users of other lipid‐lowering drugs.
Journal ArticleDOI
Social inequality in incidence of and survival from cancer in a population-based study in Denmark, 1994-2003: Summary of findings.
Susanne Oksbjerg Dalton,Joachim Schüz,Gerda Engholm,Christoffer Johansen,Susanne K. Kjaer,Marianne Steding-Jessen,Hans H. Storm,Jørgen H. Olsen +7 more
