Journal ArticleDOI

Quartz-Seq: a highly reproducible and sensitive single-cell RNA sequencing method, reveals non-genetic gene-expression heterogeneity

TL;DR: It is shown that single-cell Quartz-Seq can quantitatively detect various kinds of non-genetic cellular heterogeneity, and can detect different cell types and different cell-cycle phases of a single cell type.
Journal ArticleDOI

The mRNA-like noncoding RNA Gomafu constitutes a novel nuclear domain in a subset of neurons

TL;DR: It is proposed that Gomafu RNA represents a novel family of mRNA-like noncoding RNA that constitutes a cell-type-specific component of the nuclear matrix and remains intact after nuclear matrix preparation.
Journal ArticleDOI

SCODE: an efficient regulatory network inference algorithm from single-cell RNA-Seq during differentiation.

TL;DR: The novel and efficient algorithm SCODE is developed to infer regulatory networks from single‐cell RNA‐Seq during differentiation, based on ordinary differential equations, and it is confirmed that SCODE can reconstruct observed expression dynamics.
Journal ArticleDOI

Isolation of planarian X-ray-sensitive stem cells by fluorescence-activated cell sorting.

TL;DR: A new method to isolate the planarian adult stem cells as X‐ray‐sensitive cell populations by fluorescence‐activated cell sorting (FACS) is described, which may provide a key tool for advancing the understanding of the stem cell system in planarians.
