Elucidating the genomic architecture of Asian EGFR-mutant lung adenocarcinoma through multi-region exome sequencing
Rahul Nahar,Weiwei Zhai,Weiwei Zhai,Tong Zhang,Angela Takano,Alexis Jiaying Khng,Yin Yeng Lee,Xingliang Liu,Chong Hee Lim,Tina P.T. Koh,Zaw Win Aung,Tony Kiat Hon Lim,Lavanya Veeravalli,Ju Yuan,Audrey S.M. Teo,Cheryl Xueli Chan,Huay Mei Poh,Ivan M. L. Chua,Audrey Ann Liew,Dawn Pingxi Lau,Xue Lin Kwang,Chee Keong Toh,Wan-Teck Lim,Bing Lim,Wai Leong Tam,Eng Huat Tan,Axel M. Hillmer,Daniel Shao-Weng Tan +27 more
TL;DR: It is shown that these EGFR mutant lung adenocarcinoma LUADs involve a complex genomic landscape with high intratumor heterogeneity, providing insights into the evolutionary trajectory of oncogene-driven LUAD and potential mediators of EGFR TKI resistance.
Journal ArticleDOI
Utility of incorporating next-generation sequencing (NGS) in an Asian non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) population: Incremental yield of actionable alterations and cost-effectiveness analysis.
Aaron C. Tan,G. Lai,Gek San Tan,Shou Yu Poon,Brett Doble,Tse Hui Lim,Zaw Win Aung,Angela Takano,Wan Ling Tan,Mei-Kim Ang,Bien Soo Tan,Anantham Devanand,Chow Wei Too,Apoorva Gogna,Boon-Hean Ong,Tina P.T. Koh,Ravindran Kanesvaran,Quan Sing Ng,Amit Jain,T. Rajasekaran,Alvin Soon Tiong Lim,Wan-Teck Lim,Chee Keong Toh,Eng Huat Tan,Tony Kiat-Hon Lim,Daniel S.W. Tan +25 more
TL;DR: This study demonstrates that even in an EGFR mutant predominant population, upfront NGS represents a feasible, cost-effective method of diagnostic molecular profiling compared with sequential testing strategies and supports the implementation of diagnostic NGS in non-squamous NSCLC in Asia.
Journal ArticleDOI
Clonal MET Amplification as a Determinant of Tyrosine Kinase Inhibitor Resistance in Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor-Mutant Non-Small-Cell Lung Cancer.
G. Lai,Tse Hui Lim,John K.C. Lim,Perry J R Liew,Xue Lin Kwang,Rahul Nahar,Zaw Win Aung,Angela Takano,Yin Yeng Lee,Dawn P. Lau,Gek San Tan,Sze Huey Tan,Wan Ling Tan,Mei-Kim Ang,Chee Keong Toh,Bien Soo Tan,Anantham Devanand,Chow Wei Too,Apoorva Gogna,B.H. Ong,Tina P.T. Koh,Ravindran Kanesvaran,Quan Sing Ng,Amit Jain,T. Rajasekaran,Ju Yuan,Tony Kiat Hon Lim,Alvin Soon Tiong Lim,Axel M. Hillmer,Wan-Teck Lim,N. Gopalakrishna Iyer,Wai Leong Tam,Weiwei Zhai,Eng Huat Tan,Daniel Shao-Weng Tan +34 more
TL;DR: Although up to 26% of TKI-naive EGFR-mutant-positive NSCLC harbor high MET CNG by fluorescence in situ hybridization, this did not significantly affect response to TKI, except in patients identified as MET-amplified.
