Journal ArticleDOI

Polyhalogenated homosesquiterpenic fatty acids from Plocamium cartilagineum.

TL;DR: The composition of novel polyhalogenated homosesquiterpenic acids from the red alga Plocamium collected during summer on Maltese Islands and Corsica are described.
Journal ArticleDOI

Fatty acids of lichen species from Tian Shan Mountains

TL;DR: In this article, eight lichen species growing in the Tian Shan Moutains were investigated for their fatty acid composition using capillary GC-MS, and the first 36 fatty acids were identified in these lichens.
Journal ArticleDOI

In Silico Prediction of Steroids and Triterpenoids as Potential Regulators of Lipid Metabolism.

TL;DR: In this article, a review focusing on a rare group of steroids and triterpenoids that share common properties as regulators of lipid metabolism is presented. But the focus of this review was not on the biological activities of these compounds.
Journal ArticleDOI

Comparative examination of phospholipids and fatty acids from some caspian invertebrates

TL;DR: Phospholipid compositions of three invertebrate species—crabs, Rhithropanopeus harrisii , crayfish, Astacus leptodactylus eichwaldi and Bivalvia, Mytilaster lineatus were examined and a number of unusual fatty acids such as 4,8,12-trimethyl-13:0, pristatic, 3- trans -16:1, as well as polyenoic acids were identified.
Journal ArticleDOI

A trinorsesterterpene glycoside from the North American fern Woodwardia virginica (L.) Smith

TL;DR: A new trinorsesterterpene glycoside was isolated from the ethanol extract of the American fern Woodwardia virginica having a 3-hydroxypropionic acid moiety as the aglycone and a saccharide moiety linked at C-4 to glucoses, xylose or arabinofuranose.
