Hydrolysed formula and risk of allergic or autoimmune disease: systematic review and meta-analysis
Robert J. Boyle,Despo Ierodiakonou,Despo Ierodiakonou,Tasnia Khan,Jennifer Chivinge,Z Robinson,N Geoghegan,Katharine Jarrold,Thalia Afxentiou,Tim Reeves,Sérgio Souza da Cunha,Marialena Trivella,Vanessa Garcia-Larsen,Jo Leonardi-Bee +13 more
TL;DR: Findings do not support current guidelines that recommend the use of hydrolysed formula to prevent allergic disease in high risk infants and evidence of conflict of interest and high or unclear risk of bias in most studies of allergic outcomes is found.
Journal ArticleDOI
Diet during pregnancy and infancy and risk of allergic or autoimmune disease: A systematic review and meta-analysis.
Vanessa Garcia-Larsen,Vanessa Garcia-Larsen,Despo Ierodiakonou,Despo Ierodiakonou,Katharine Jarrold,Sérgio Souza da Cunha,Jennifer Chivinge,Z Robinson,N Geoghegan,Alisha Ruparelia,Pooja Devani,Marialena Trivella,Jo Leonardi-Bee,Robert J. Boyle,Robert J. Boyle +14 more
TL;DR: A relationship between maternal diet and risk of immune-mediated diseases in the child is supported, and evidence from 19 intervention trials suggests that oral supplementation with nonpathogenic micro-organisms during late pregnancy and lactation may reduce risk of eczema.
Journal ArticleDOI
