Journal ArticleDOI
Superconducting tunneling in a pair-breaking microwave field
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors measured the tunneling characteristics of Al-oxide-Al superconducting tunnel junctions in the presence of pair-breaking microwaves, and showed that the junctions show an excess current below a bias of 2Δ/e.
Journal ArticleDOI
A case study of a world-class research project accomplished in China: discovery of the quantum anomalous Hall effect
Book ChapterDOI
Fast Response GeAu Heat Pulse Bolometers for Use in Ballistic Phonon, High Magnetic Field Experiments
TL;DR: In this article, it has been shown that within a narrow window of Au concentration that these films have excellent temperature responses, these concentrations were determined by Rutherford backscattering after fabrication and variations on either side of this window resulted in films that are metallic or insulating.
Book ChapterDOI
Raman Scattering and the Two-Phonon Density of States in GaAs
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors compare the two-phonon density of states of GaAs with the experimental Raman data for both the overtones and the sum and difference frequency combinations.
Journal ArticleDOI
Second Derivative Ballistic Electron Emission Spectroscopy in Au/(AlGa)As
TL;DR: In this paper, an analysis of the ballistic electron emission microscopy (BEEM) spectra of Au/(AlGa)As heterostructures was performed to estimate quantitatively the effect of the carrier scattering in the metal, at the metal-semiconductor (m-s) interface and in the semiconductor on the multivalley carrier transport.
