Journal ArticleDOI

First results from the CERN axion solar telescope.

TL;DR: The first results from the analysis of these data are presented in this article, implying an upper limit to the axion-photon coupling at 95% C.L. for axion masses.
Journal ArticleDOI

The Small-Scale Environment of Quasars

TL;DR: In this article, the authors used the Sloan Digital Sky Survey to study the environment of quasars and compare it directly with the environments of typical L* galaxies. And they found that the enhanced environment around quasar is a local phenomenon; the overdensity relative to that around L * galaxies is strongest within 100 kpc of the quars.
Journal ArticleDOI

A Novel Antimatter Detector Based on X-Ray Deexcitation of Exotic Atoms

TL;DR: Gaseous antiparticle spectrometer (GAPS) as mentioned in this paper is an antiparticle detector that uses the characteristic X-rays emitted by antiparticles when they form exotic atoms in gases.
Journal ArticleDOI

A novel antimatter detector based on X-ray deexcitation of exotic atoms

TL;DR: Gaseous antiparticle spectrometer (GAPS) as mentioned in this paper is a simple and lightweight detector that can be used on balloon and space-based missions to detect antideuteron.
