Structural parameters for globular clusters in M31 and generalizations for the fundamental plane

TL;DR: In this paper, surface brightness profiles from new Hubble Space Telescope observations of 34 globular clusters in M31 are presented, together with fits of several different structural models to each cluster, and the derived structural parameters are combined with corrected versions of those measured in an earlier survey to construct a comprehensive catalog of structural and dynamical parameters for M31 GCs with a sample size similar to that for the Milky Way.
Journal ArticleDOI

A color-magnitude study of the globular cluster M15

TL;DR: B and V CCD images of the metal-poor Galactic globular cluster M15 have been obtained from the Canada-France-Hawaii Telescope and the Kitt Peak National Observatory 0.9 m telescope as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI

The Kinematics and Dynamics of the Globular Clusters and the Planetary Nebulae of NGC 5128

TL;DR: In this article, a new kinematic and dynamic study of the halo of the giant elliptical galaxy, NGC 5128, is presented, based on a spectroscopically confirmed sample of 340 globular clusters and 780 planetary nebulae.
Journal ArticleDOI

A Virgo Environmental Survey Tracing Ionised Gas Emission (VESTIGE): I. Introduction to the survey

Alessandro Boselli, +61 more
TL;DR: The Virgo Environmental Survey Tracing Ionized Gas Emission (VESTIGE) as mentioned in this paper is a blind narrow-band Hα+[NII] imaging survey carried out with MegaCam at the Canada-France-Hawaii Telescope.
Journal ArticleDOI

The Kinematics of the Globular Cluster System of NGC 5128 with a New Large Sample of Radial Velocity Measurements

TL;DR: In this paper, the radial velocity measurements for previously known and newly confirmed globular clusters (GCs) in the nearby massive galaxy NGC 5128 are presented, and a new kinematic analysis of the GC system that extends out to 45' in galactocentric radius.
