Oxidation of a potassium monolayer on Ru(001) studied with photoemission, NEXAFS and vibrational EELS

TL;DR: In this paper, the interaction of oxygen with a monolayer of potassium on a Ru(001) surface has been investigated with photoemission and NEXAFS data, which indicate an ionic species which is close to potassium Superoxide with the OO bond oriented parallel to the surface.
Journal ArticleDOI

Persistent optical excitation to Rydberg states: Xe on Au

TL;DR: Auger-electron-yield measurements of a monolayer of Xe adsorbed onto a polycrystalline Au film are presented which show transitions from the Xe $4d$ levels to Rydberg-derived final states with essentially their gas-phase oscillator strength as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI

Photoemission from laser excited semiconductors: Dynamic response of the electronic structure in Si

TL;DR: In this paper, angle-resolved photoemission in coincidence with a pulsed Nd:Yag laser beam (h ν L = 2.33 eV) was studied.
Journal ArticleDOI

Electron-ion coincidence studies of the behaviour of molecules upon core excitation

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors measured the time of flight mass spectra of several molecules, which include carbon disulfide (CS2) and thiophene (C4H4S), in coincidence with Auger electrons which result from the decay of core excitations in these molecules.
Journal ArticleDOI

Atomic and solid-state effects in the angle resolved photoemission cross section from an adsorbate: 4d levels of c(2 × 2)Te on Ni

TL;DR: The photon energy dependence of the normal emission from the Te -4d levels of an ordered Te c(2 × 2) overlayer on Ni(100) shows two distinct types of structure as mentioned in this paper.
