Journal ArticleDOI

Intensive cytokine induction in pandemic H1N1 influenza virus infection accompanied by robust production of IL-10 and IL-6.

TL;DR: A comprehensive innate immune response was activated at the early stage of P(H1N1) infection with a combine Th1/Th2/Th3 cytokines production and a systemic production of IL-6 and IL-10 were observed in severe P (H1n1) patients.
Journal ArticleDOI

Metabolically healthy obesity, transition to unhealthy metabolic status, and vascular disease in Chinese adults: A cohort study.

TL;DR: Wang et al. as discussed by the authors examined the association of metabolic health status and its transition with risks of subtypes of vascular disease across body mass index (BMI) categories and found that metabolic health is a transient state for a large proportion of Chinese adults, with the highest vascular risk among those remained MUOO.
Journal ArticleDOI

Cooking fuels and risk of all-cause and cardiopulmonary mortality in urban China: a prospective cohort study.

Kuai Yu, +177 more
TL;DR: Solid fuel use for cooking is associated with a higher risk of mortality, and cessation of solid fuel use cuts excess mortality risks swiftly and substantially within 5 years, and use of ventilation was associated with lower all-cause mortality risk.
Journal ArticleDOI

Human antibody responses to avian influenza A(H7N9) virus, 2013.

TL;DR: IgG against H3 was boosted after infection with influenza A(H7N9) virus, and its level in acute- phase samples correlated with that against H7 in convalescent-phase samples, and a correlation was also found between hemagglutinin inhibition and NAb titers and between HemagglUTinin inhibited and IgG titers against H8.
Journal ArticleDOI

A cluster of person-to-person transmission cases caused by SFTS virus in Penglai, China.

TL;DR: Information from this study provided solid references of SFTS incubation time, clinical and laboratory parameters related to SFTS severity and outcome, and biosafety issues for preventing person-to-person transmission or nosocomial infection ofSFTSV.
